“Fairway to Honor”
Charity Golf Tournament
The Soldiers & Airmen Assistance Fund (SAAF) hosted its’ third annual “Fairway to Honor” golf tournament on 16 September at Bentwinds Golf & Country Club in Fuquay-Varina. The tournament is held to raise funds for our Guard families but also to give our supporters and military personnel a fun day of golf.
“We had a great tournament and just a perfect day to play golf” said Dennis Roach, Director. “We must be doing something right. This year we maxed out in players, added several more sponsors and gave away more gifts than the previous years. Thanks to Tournament Promotions we were able to offer several new events for players to win on the course. From burgers to hot dogs, to ice cream and beer, to the $5,000 team putting contest, our goal was to make this a special day for everyone and let them know just how much we appreciate their support.”
“This tournament has proven to be very successful in achieving our goal of building stronger relationships with the business community and public sector,” Chairman of the Board Iwan Clontz said. “I certainly want to say thank the sponsors, Bentwinds staff and everyone involved in the tournament this year. Just an outstanding job.”
